Cubs

About Cubs…

Cub Scouts age from ages 8-11 years and like Beavers are open to boys and girls equally.

Cubs get involved in many activities including: Orienteering, Camp Craft, Pioneering and Badge Work. Cubs are based on the well known story by Rudyard Kipling; The Jungle Book and their leaders take names from the characters such as: Akela, Baloo and Raksha.

Like many of the other sections, Cubs can earn over 40 badges during the three years that they are in the section. You can view the badges available by clicking here.

Recent District Events…

February: Several packs in the district came together to celebrate Thinking Day also known as Founder’s day. Packs chose a country and did activities based on those countries.

March: Cubs from across the district came together in Cheriton to do a Whittingstall Competition: this is where cubs take part in many challenges to earn points on team work and how successful they were.
