District Vacancies
Everyone involved with Folkestone and Hythe Scouts are volunteers who dedicate their time to help young people. Volunteers are CRB checked and trained for their roles and can be anyone aged 18+ from any background or race. For all the current district positions please see below:
ASSISTANT DISTRICT COMMISSIONER – CUBS
Cubs are aged 7 years 6 months to 11 years old and enjoy games, activities with the occassional challenge. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help the District Commissioner run and plan events for Cub Scouts across the district. If you know someone who is interested then please let the District Commissioner know your nominations. Email susan.shaw4@virgin.net
DISTRICT NETWORK LEADER
Are any young people or young-at-heart people interested in running the Hellfire Network for Folkestone and Hythe Scouts. Network members are aged 18-25 years and do a number of activities and social events as well as aim to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh award. ASSISTANT MAGAZINE EDITOR
We are looking for someone to assist the editor in producing a magazine for all our young people, leaders, parents and supporters. The Assistant Magazine Editor will help by coming up with ideas, proof reading articles and researching news which has been provided as well as attend some events and report back. This role is open to anyone who is aged 14+ and is currently a member of a scout group or an Explorer Unit. If you are interested then please email Alan Couchman-Sawyer alancs_02@live.co.uk
WEBSITE ADMINISTRATORS
We are looking for people to join our administration team for the District Website. The website is essential for information relating to the district and keeping members informed of events. If you are able to help then you must be either in the Network or a Leader. You will be compotent in WordPress and BuddyPress hosted websites and knowledge of other websites including Facebook, Twitter and Flickr.
